Two’s Day on Friday

We packed up the diaper bag and headed down to the children’s museum in Fort Point. On Fridays, they have free entry, and it’s so close to Flour Bakery and Barrington Coffee, that there was something for everyone!

It was a very warm day, and when we got there, we didn’t fancy standing in line for 30 minutes, so we went straight to Barrington for drinks and had a mini photo shoot, a fabulous chai tea, and some tasty cold brew coffee. And a muffin.

We spent time in the sunshine, walked passed some tall ships, and enjoyed the breeze off the water. Walking by the Boston Tea Party museum, one of the costumed employees hollered “Greetings, Young Patriot!” to Macia. That was pretty cute.

Eventually the line at the children’s museum died down and we were able to walk right in. It was crowded inside, of course, but Macia puttered around and observed all the kiddos running, jumping, and playing in every corner. She really liked the train and water tables.

So did Taylor ๐Ÿ™‚

We ended our Two’s day with a quick trip to Flour for some nibbles and grapefruit juice. What a treat it is to spend time together when there is so much else going on. Two’s days are definitely remaining a fixture in our family life.. whether they become “Mommy and Daddy Date Nights” or more of a family day, they’re here to stay.
