Today Is Monday

Monday, string beans

The first Monday of the new year, and the first Monday I’ve blogged in… far too many weeks.

Tomorrow I go back to work (again) after the Christmas holiday. Next week, Taylor starts classes for his final (!) semester of law school.

In 25 days, the hearing will be held to determine This Little Girl’s future. This is a big month for us.

We have a lot to talk about, you and I.

I will try to write about our time with the Babe so far, and I will try to share how I have been feeling and what we have been experiencing. But the reason I haven’t been writing for the past two months is not (really) lack of time, but lack of words. I have had a very difficult time, even in my own inner monologue, describing, categorizing, picturing, or interpreting what’s been going on in my head, my home, my washing machine, and even in my heart. There is much here.

So we will take it one day at a time.

Today is Monday.

Say anything. Just say it. I loved the day you called and you said that you’ve changed baby’s pants 4 times already today because she keeps wetting them. Say that she is walking, furniture surfing, drooling on your kitchen table. Just say it.

We received your Christmas letter on Christmas Eve. It was such a blessing and a gift. Exciting times. Yay, Taylor is in the home stretch. Then the BAR! 🙂

    Bless you all.
